Like everyone else in the world right now, Stockton Civic Theatre is working to get back to normal while navigating the many challenges of the current COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently following state and local mandates to make sure that SCT remains an inviting destination to enjoy live theatre in Stockton. In accordance with those mandates, it is required that all those unvaccinated wear a mask while at SCT and that anyone who feels sick does not come to the theatre. We have always had a very gracious ticket rescheduling policy and will continue that to make sure that nobody misses out one of our great shows because of illness.
In addition to following state and local mandates, we have made some changes at SCT. We recently replaced our HVAC system in the auditorium to help with airflow and have made sure to change air filters on a regular basis. We have decided to skip our usual opening night reception and will not be having our post-performance meet-and-greets with the actors. While these have been valued traditions, we feel (for the moment) that it is best to err on the side of caution and forego these extra interactions to limit exposure as much as possible. We are excited to have audiences back in the building and can’t wait to see you at the theatre!
