One might assume that with seats filled at performances, a not-for-profit theatre would have plenty of money. Unfortunately, ticket revenue covers only the cost of what is seen on stage, and without the many volunteers who donate their time and talent—from actors and set builders to ushers and stage crews—it would not even cover that. For the rest of our budget, we must reach out to the community to fund operating expenses such as insurance, building maintenance, office supplies and postage, and the many educational and cultural programs we offer beyond our main stage.
